Oceanside CA— Ksenia Melania Varela, age 9 now residing in Oceanside CA. Ksenia was born in Hayward California and began singing at age 5. Ksenia is currently learning classical and opera vocals under the International performing artist and music educator Rebecca Steinke in San Diego.
Ksenia’s Recent accomplishments:

• Vocals Gold medalist Team USA in the 2020 World Championship of Performing Arts in the 15 and under age group.
• Vocals First place winner in the 2020 International Grande Music Competition in New York in the 7 to 9 age group.
• Vocals First place winner in the American Protégé International Vocals 2020 competition in the 12 and under age group. Scheduled to play in Carnegie Hall May 2021.
• Vocals Second place winner in the American Protégé International Concerto 2020 competition in the 12 and under age group. Scheduled to play in Carnegie Hall May 2021.
• Ksenia was accepted by Italy’s International Lyrical Academy 2020 to learn & perform in Italy ‘s famous opera house. Was scheduled to travel to Italy June 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic and moved to June 2021.

Ksenia has performed at the 2019 Forte academy of Arts Music All Stars in 2019. Is currently singing with the St. Petka church choir in San Marcos CA., and has sung at many recitals in the San Diego area.
Ksenia’s other talents include playing the piano since the age of 4. She has won the best performance award at the Russian school of Piano in Sunnyvale Ca in 2018, and gold medal at the California Youth Focus Competition in 2017.

Ksenia has been dancing ballet since the age of 3.5 and was part of the recent North County Russian Ballet studio 2019 Nutcracker performance in Carlsbad CA. She also, has had many ballet and dance performances in the San Francisco area over the last five years. She recently started to learn and dance in pointe shoes. Ksenia aspires to also get into modeling and acting in the near future.
