San Diego CA— Miracle Babies, a non-profit organization that supports families with critically ill babies in local neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), is supporting Niland fire victims by collecting essential items for families in need. Miracle Babies has collected diapers, toiletries, new undergarments, blankets, new toys, baby clothing and wipes to support families during this difficult time. The Imperial Valley Transit picked up the supplies from the Miracle Babies’ office in San Diego and delivered directly to the Family Resource Center in Calipatria.
Every year, Miracle Babies supports hundreds of parents from the Imperial Valley through care packages and transportation services to San Diego hospitals. Any baby born before 34 weeks or with congenital abnormalities is transported via air ambulance to San Diego.
“We are all in this together for a better beginning,” said Sean Daneshmand, MD, Founder of Miracle Babies. “These families have had their lives change drastically and we want them to know we are here to support them during this difficult time.”
