San Diego CA— Mission Federal Credit Union, San Diego’s largest member-owned, not-for-profit, full-service financial institution exclusively serving San Diego County, with staff and community support, raised $364,147 to benefit the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. The total includes $30,476 raised by Mission Fed, $50,000 as part of its dollar-for-dollar match grant, and $283,671 from its website. The total amount will provide 1,820,732 meals for San Diegans suffering from food insecurity.

The San Diego Food Bank and its North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 32 million pounds of food, and the Food Bank serves, on average, 350,000 people per month in San Diego County. Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Food Bank projects that it is serving more than 550,000 people per month in communities throughout San Diego County.
Through its North County Food Bank chapter and by partnering with nearly 500 nonprofit organizations with feeding programs, the Food Bank provides nutritious food to individuals and families in need in communities throughout San Diego County.
