The Center is giving the surrounding coastal community even more reason to celebrate with their ‘Tis the Sea Sun events throughout November and December. Festive decorations, Sip & Stroll, Christmas Community Event, Hullabaloo sing-alongs, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus will bring the holiday spirit to Carmel Valley all season long.
EXPERIENCE THE EXCITEMENT OF ’TIS THE SEA SUN AT DEL MAR HIGHLANDS TOWN CENTER! – STARTING NOVEMBER 12
Starting November 12, families are invited to stroll the Center and enjoy Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s ’Tis the Sea Sun’s exciting interactive décor. New to the Center this year is the towering 36-foot Christmas tree made of 44 surfboards with inlaid LED lights with light and music shows every 30 minutes and a spectacular 15-foot surfing Santa pulled by four of his reindeer on top of The Sky Deck roof. At this new community gathering space at the south end of the Center, guests will also get to see the recently unveiled 16-foot “Drifter” whale fountain installation created by artist Matt Torrens.
Guests can enjoy a conversation with “Delmer” the talking penguin, take a tour inside a gigantic igloo, snap a selfie with huge festive starfish, send wish lists to the North Pole with letters to Santa, and take a photo in Santa’s red beach chair with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There are brand new tenants ready to be explored for holiday shopping, including the recently opened Jimbo’s and Little Apple, in addition to Vuori, Tucci Boutique, and Rumeur Lingerie set to open mid-late November. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on select dates throughout the season. Participants can tag #TisTheSeaSun for the chance to be featured on Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s social media.
DEL MAR HIGHLANDS SIP & STROLL — SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, FROM 4PM TO 7PM
Del Mar Highlands Town Center is giving the community another reason to support local businesses on Small Business Saturday with their Sip & Stroll on Saturday, November 30, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Participants can treat themselves to an evening exploring local businesses at the Center while enjoying complimentary small bites, live music, and seasonal cheer. Participating tenants include Philz Coffee, Jimbo’s, Vuori, Champagne Bakery, DIESEL, A Bookstore, Tucci, and more. Live music and Santa will entertain as event-goers are treated to immersive tastings for the holidays.
The Sip & Stroll is free and open to the first 250 people who sign-up on the Del Mar Highlands Town Center website at DelMarHighlandsTownCenter.com. The Center will be bustling with holiday cheer, live music, Santa, shopping, and dining specials available for everyone to enjoy.
GOLD RIBBON WELCOME PARTY – THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5, FROM 4 TO 6PM
On December 5th, the community is invited to welcome and have a first look at Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s brand new tenants that opened throughout November. The event will feature a gold ribbon cutting ceremony to honor Tucci; Vuori; DIESEL, a Bookstore; Rumeur Lingerie; Jimbo’s, and additional tenants opening their doors to Carmel Valley. The event is open to all to explore the tenant locations and enjoy live music, holiday décor, and treats throughout the night.

CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY EVENT — TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, FROM 5PM TO 7PM
Del Mar Highlands Town Center is bringing the community together for the holidays with their Christmas Giving Back Night on Tuesday, December 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Get ready for Christmas cheer with a visit from Santa, hot chocolate and seasonal treats, art and dance performances from hundreds of local students, and more.
The event will include check presentations of over $20,000 donated by Del Mar Highlands Town Center to 17 San Diego schools and the San Diego Fire and Police Departments. This marks the 12th year of Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s donation toward local schools’ Save the Arts Program, with $250,000 donated since its inception. Families are invited to brighten a child’s Christmas through Toys for Tots, with opportunities around the center to donate toys to the organization.
HULLABALOO FOR THE HOLIDAYS CONCERT SERIES — THURSDAYS THROUGH THE SEASON
Hullabaloo at the Highlands continues throughout the season with Hullabaloo for the Holidays starting at 10 a.m. on November 21. Sing along to Christmas favorites the whole family will enjoy with a free concert in front of the gigantic igloo at Del Mar Highlands Town Center.
