11 years of North County visibility #Whywepride

Oceanside CA— The North County LGBTQ Resource Center (The Center) presents Pride by the beach. 11 years of planned family time festivities, visibility and celebration of Pride. One of the largest free family friendly Pride festival in California, and one of the three largest festivals hosted in Oceanside. Pride by the Beach will be held October 13, 2018 from 11:00-5:00 pm by the Oceanside Civic Center Plaza.
The Center serves 13 + cities in North San Diego County including Camp Pendelton, Escondido, Vista, San Marcos, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Carlsbad, Poway, Rancho Sante Fe, and more. Throughout the year The Center offers a number of life-saving services such as mental health, support groups for youth and seniors and HIV prevention. It also offers programs for human trafficking prevention, addressing youth homelessness, suicide prevention and education like the LGBTQI competency training to schools, police departments and hospitals.
Pride by the beach is a program of the Center and it provides the needed visibility for families and kids in the area. This year we are hosting a North County LGBTQ History discussion panel, the AIDS quilt display, the Together strong photo shoot, Ride to Pride ( a motorcycle brigade). The Mainstage acts are featuring Casey Hensley feat. Laura Chavez, The Tighten ups, Drag performers, Miriam T, and other local hip hop artist like Skewbee D.
Over 100 exhibitors will offer resources and services, retail, food and giveaways.
