Carlsbad CA— Registration is in full swing for City of Carlsbad winter youth basketball recreation league for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade at Calavera and Stagecoach community centers. Participants must attend a mandatory player assessment at the beginning of October.
At a Glance
- Boys and girls will build a strong foundation, discover the benefits of teamwork, develop good sportsmanship and learn how to showcase their ball handling skills through healthy competition
- Practices will be held once per week and start the second week of November
- Games will be held once per week on Saturdays and run Dec. 2 through Feb. 24
- Teams will be formed and parents notified by Nov. 5
- Volunteer coaches are still needed, please contact Ryan Conroy at ryan@mastersports.com, if interested
Mandatory assessments are held at Calavera Hills Community Center on:
- Oct. 3 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. for boys grades 7-8
- Oct. 5 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. for boys grades 5-6
- Oct. 7 from 8 – 9:30 a.m. for boys and girls grades 1-2
- Oct. 7 from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. for boys grades 3-4
- Oct. 7 from 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. for girls grades 3-5
- Oct. 7 from 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. for girls grades 6-8
- Oct. 7 from 12:15 – 1 p.m. for boys and girls grade K
