Oceanside CA— Join the Republican Club of Ocean Hills on Wednesday, March 15th, to hear Oceanside City Councilmember, the Honorable Jerry Kern! Councilmember Kern will present the “Decommissioning of the San Onofre Nuclear Plant,” an issue of great interest to North County residents.
This is your opportunity to hear what’s happening at the San Onofre plant from an expert – Jerry currently serves on the Community Engagement Panel for the decommissioning of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), which is working toward removing the remaining nuclear fuel from the site.
Councilmember Kern is a fiscal conservative and his vision and thoughtful leadership has positively impacted the quality of life in Oceanside. He is a Veteran and proud to have served in the United States Air Force. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University, and a teaching credential from Chapman University.
Jerry and his wife, Blake, are native Californians who have lived in Oceanside since 1975. Since arriving in the city, Kern has been very involved in the community, including serving as President of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, and on a variety of boards, commissions, and committees.
