Holiday Toy Drive benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and Children’s Hospital of Orange County
San Diego County CA— San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, has launched its seventh annual Holiday Toy Drive benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Through Dec. 31, 2016, every one of SDCCU’s 40 convenient branch locations throughout Southern California will serve as an authorized drop-off location for new, unwrapped toys. All toys will be donated to the two hospitals.
“SDCCU is happy to deliver a message of joy to these courageous youngsters who find themselves in need of pediatric care. We encourage everyone to join us in our effort to put a smile on the faces and warm the hearts of critically ill children being cared for at Rady Children’s Hospital or Children’s Hospital of Orange County,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck.
Donated items may be used throughout the year as gifts to individual patients in various age groups. In addition, donated items may be utilized in playrooms and support groups as in-room activities for patients and in conjunction with therapies. The hospitals cannot accept stuffed animals or violent-themed toys, such as guns, etc.
Last holiday season, SDCCU’s customers and employees donated nearly 1,000 toys in support of SDCCU’s sixth annual Holiday Toy Drive.
