Vista CA— Vista Community Clinic (VCC) will host the 30th Annual Holiday Homes Tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, December 4. The tour benefits Kare for Kids, a fund dedicated to enhancing pediatric facilities at VCC.
Since its inception in 1986, Holiday Homes Tour has grown to become a much-anticipated home and design event in the region. The elegant and dazzling displays of holiday décor created by professional designers are a source of inspiration to many tour visitors who return year after year for ideas to decorate their own homes. The 2016 Holiday Homes Tour will feature four beautiful private residences in Vista and the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, considered to be one of the best preserved historic structures in the state.
“We use a lot of florals and holiday greenery,” says Beppie Mostert, a San Diego-based interior design consultant who has been volunteering with the tour’s design team for eight years. “In addition, we use ribbon, candles, fabrics, lights, wreaths, and garlands. Each year, the design team shops for ornaments and decorations that reflect the latest trends in holiday design.”
Holiday Homes Tour benefits Kare for Kids, the VCC fund dedicated to creating warm and welcoming pediatric facilities with comfortable seating, books, puzzles, art and reading nooks. Each year, VCC provides affordable, high-quality health care to more than 18,000 children of all ages.
Visitors to the 30th Annual Holiday Homes Tour will have the opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind gifts at the Holiday Bazaar. The outdoor market will include more than a dozen local artisans who will sell handmade edibles, home décor, clothing, crocheted jewelry, handbags, lotions, and soaps. A gourmet food truck will offer breakfast, lunch, and beverages for purchase.
The Holiday Bazaar, food truck as well as visitor parking for Holiday Homes Tour will be at the parking lot of Together We Grow, 2120 Thibodo Road, Vista. Free shuttles will provide transportation to homes featured in the tour. Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour Together We Grow, a daycare facility for medically fragile and other children.
Tickets to the 30th Annual Holiday Homes Tour are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the tour. To purchase tickets, visit www.vcc.clinic/hht or call 760.631.5000 x1139. On the day of the tour, tickets can be purchased at the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, 640 Alta Vista Drive, Vista.
