Vista CA— Vista Community Clinic (VCC) will host two health and resource fairs to mark National Health Center Week.
The first event will be held from 9 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at VCC: North River, 4700 North River Road in Oceanside. The second fair will be from 9 to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13 at VCC: Vale Terrace, 1000 Vale Terrace Drive in Vista.
Both events will feature health information, free blood pressure and glucose screenings, and activities for the entire family. There will be food distribution on a first come, first serve basis. Information will be available on VCC health services, health education programs and health insurance enrollment assistance. The American Heart Association will present Heart Health, a free workshop from 10 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 13 at VCC: Vale Terrace Women’s Center, 1000 Vale Terrace Drive in Vista.

The VCC health fairs will mark the annual National Health Center Week to be held Aug. 7-13 to celebrate the work of health centers across the nation. Health centers provide affordable medical care to nearly 23 Americans each year. The majority of health center patients are low-income and medically under-served. This year’s theme is Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Innovators in Community Health.
