Carlsbad CA— The City of Carlsbad’s TGIF Concerts in the Parks begin June 24, at Stagecoach Community Park, located, 3420 Camino de los Coches. The outdoor concert series runs each Friday through Aug. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., at community parks across the city.
Presented by the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office, TGIF concerts feature a lively mix of regional bands and top touring groups. The music covers a wide range of styles, from country to spicy Latin. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of free shuttle service for concerts at Alga Norte, Poinsettia and Calavera Hills community parks, as onsite parking is limited. The shuttle runs from 4:30 to 9 p.m. This year, ride share options are available through Lyft and Uber.
A variety of food vendors are onsite at the events or attendees are welcome to bring refreshments from home. Artists of all ages can take part in Family Open Studios at TGIF, a free, hands-on art activity. Guests can also support future arts and cultural events in Carlsbad by purchasing opportunity drawing tickets from the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts for a chance to win prizes.
The complete concert schedule is listed below. Admission to all concerts is free. No admittance to concert venues is allowed before 4 p.m. For the safety of all concert goers, the following are not permitted at the concert venues: pets, smoking and vaping, grills, skateboards, rollerblades, skates and bicycles. More information about what to bring and what not to bring is available at www.carlsbadca.gov/arts.
