Oceanside CA— MainStreet Oceanside is offering a discount for Independence Parade entries. The early registration discount is $10 off any parade category entry. The deadline for this discount is May 15th.
MainStreet Oceanside began organizing the Tri-City Medical Center Oceanside Independence Parade in January. This annual downtown Oceanside parade is on Saturday, July 2nd . The parade starts at 10 a.m., as usual, on Coast Highway and Wisconsin Avenue intersection then ending at Coast Highway and Civic Center Drive intersection with more than 120 parade entries expected to march, roll, walk and drive down the famous 101 Coast Highway. There are typically more than 150 entries in the two-hour action-packed, “down home”, Americana-styled event.
MainStreet Oceanside is urging non-profit organizations, businesses, clubs, community leaders and people who are passionate about showing their patriotism to partake in this annual parade.
“It will be a jam-packed parade experience especially with this year’s “volunteer” parade theme,” says Cathy Nykiel, parade committee member. “Our theme was selected to honor those who contribute so much to our community. Come out in your best Patriotic duds, wave your American flags and see our parade entries represent this theme and honor our Nation, Oceanside, local business and individuals.”
