Oceanside CA— Oceanside, San Diego’s North Shore, invites couples to begin planning their happily ever after during the second annual “Wedding March” community open house on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event will showcase the city’s wide variety of wedding and event venues during this fun afternoon designed for anyone researching coastal venues for weddings, parties or other special events.
“Oceanside’s Wedding March event not only takes the hassle out of researching wedding venues, but also introduces couples to new options that they might not be aware of,” says Michelle Martini-Brown, Visit Oceanside’s wedding resource manager. “In one afternoon, couples can easily visit Oceanside’s amazing collection of wedding sites from private tropical gardens and beachfront locations to historical sites and museums. Participants also get to talk to a number of wedding vendors who can guide them in their planning.”
Organized by Visit Oceanside’s wedding resource team, the 2016 Wedding March event will include 15 Oceanside venues and a selection of vendors. Anyone interested in attending should register at www.visitoceansideweddings.com. Once registered, participants will receive a printable map with a list of venues and instructions including what to expect at each site. Some venues will have rooms set up for an event, some will feature wedding vendors and goodies and all will have representatives on hand to answer questions on pricing and availability.
To add to the fun, Visit Oceanside is sponsoring a photo scavenger hunt during the event where participants use clues at each stop that lead them to a photo opportunity. Photos submitted via Twitter, Instagram, text or email using the hashtag #wedoside will be entered to win a selection of prizes.
