Oceanside CA— The Republican Club of Ocean Hills will host Carl DeMiao during their General Membership meeting February 17, 2016.
Carl DeMaio is the Chairman of Reform California and his subject will be “The Hottest Topics of the Week”. Carl DeMaio knows how to reform government.
A graduate of Georgetown University, Mr. DeMaio started his first company at the age of 23, The Performance Institute, to provide training and solutions to help financially-troubled governmental agencies to improve performance, transparency, efficiency, and accountability. In 2008, he won a seat on the San Diego City Council and helped turn the city away from the brink of bankruptcy
through his “Roadmap to Recovery” reform agenda.
He advanced reform though a variety of ballot measures. Included were: voter approval for city services to “competitive outsourcing,” a ban on discriminatory union-only hiring deals known as Project Labor Agreements, and “Comprehensive Pension Reform” which switched San Diego City from a defined benefit pension plan to a defined contribution plan [403(b)]. DeMaio in his new position as Chairman of Reform California is focused on state-wide fiscal reform policies. To that effort and to address local issues, he co-hosts “The DeMaio Report” news and talk show on KOGO-AM 600 Radio.
The meeting will be held at the Broken Yolk Restaurant, 2434 Vista Way in Oceanside.
