Oceanside CA—In celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage Month in May, Oceanside Public Library is pleased to present the first Japanese and English bilingual story time. Everyone is welcome to join in for stories in Japanese and English, followed by writing postcards to friends in Oceanside’s Sister City, Fuji-city, Japan.
The program will take place on Wednesday, May 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mission Branch Library, 3861-B Mission Avenue in Oceanside. This program is free for all children ages 0-12 and their families and is funded by the Talk Story grant through the Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association.
Please check the Library calendar for additional Talk Story programs this summer, including stories about growing up in Okinawa, an Okinawan dance performance, and an Okinawan eisaa drumming workshop! For more information, please call 760-435-5600 or visit www.oceansidepubliclibrary.org.
