Carlsbad CA— Enjoy an evening with Joyce Carol Oates as she discusses her latest novel “The Sacrifice” at Carlsbad City Library on Feb. 27, from 7 to 8 p.m. Books will be available for sale and signing by Barnes & Noble Booksellers. The author talk will take place inside the library’s Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, located 1775 Dove Lane. Admission is free and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be handed out at the auditorium door starting at 5 p.m. the day of the event, and seating will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Pulitzer Prize nominee Oates is one of America’s most versatile and accomplished writers. She is a recipient of the National Medal of Humanities, the National Book Critics Circle Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Book Award and the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in Short Fiction.
