Oceanside CA – San Diego area Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants are joining forces for a 5-day fundraiser from October 29 through November 2 to benefit the San Diego County Council of Firefighters (SDCCF) in support of the Burn Institute and the Firefighter Cancer Support Network. To show their support, Jersey Mike’s will be distributing 31,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub in exchange for a $2 donation to the SDCCF.
A total of 28 area Jersey Mike’s locations will participate in the fundraiser by giving away some of their most popular sandwiches in exchange for a donation to the San Diego County Council of Firefighters.
“At Jersey Mike’s we feel it’s important to support our community,” said Cathy Brown, Jersey Mike’s area director and franchise owner. “We strive to make a difference every day – one sub at a time.”
Re-founded on November 27, 2007 in response to the second “worst fire disaster in San Diego County’s history” in only four years, the San Diego County Council of Firefighters brings together representatives from the Professional Firefighter labor groups in San Diego County. Their mission: Unifying the countywide efforts of Professional Firefighters in educating the people and their elected representatives in the unique challenges of providing the highest level of Fire Protection, Emergency Services, and Firefighter Health and Safety in San Diego County while serving with the tradition of integrity, professionalism and commitment.
