Oceanside CA– Some of the presentations and proclamations from last nights City Council meeting;

San Luis Rey Waste Water Treatment Facility won the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Plant of the Year award in the San Diego Section for plants that receive 20 million gallons of water per day. Cari Dale, Utilities Director of Oceanside Water said the plant also competed at the state level and won a third place award. Mayor Wood said “These are the quiet heroes of Oceanside, if they weren’t working, we would be hearing from you in a minute.”
 

Eileen Turk, Parks and Recreation Division Manager said forty Children will receive free swimming lessons thanks to a donation of $2,000.00 from the Oceanside Elks Club.
