Several North County communities have Independence Day fireworks and other festivities scheduled for July 3 and 4.
Oceanside
The city of Oceanside hosts its fireworks display on Sunday, July 3, in celebration of the 134th anniversary of the city’s incorporation and Independence Day.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m. at the SoCal Soccer Complex at El Corazon, 3300 El Corazon Drive. Admission is free. The event will feature live entertainment, a family fun zone, picnic area and food vendors.
Parking will be available at the SoCal Soccer Complex lot for $12 per car, and free parking will be available at the nearby Ocean Ranch Business Park. Recreational vehicles and buses are not allowed, nor are alcohol or dogs.

Carlsbad
Park Hyatt Aviara holds an Independence Day celebration from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, July 4, with a barbecue, entertainment and fireworks at its renovated garden area.
Reservations are required. Tickets, not including registration fees, are $145 for adults and $60 for children (under age 2 are free).
Participants receive one drink ticket upon arrival and can enjoy specialty pop-up bars sponsored by Don Julio and Ketel One. A raffle will also be held for dinner at Ponto Lago, a bottle of Ketel One vodka or a bottle of Don Julio tequila.
Live entertainment will be provided by Chad Rubin.
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club and Spa is located at 7100 Aviara Resort Drive in Carlsbad.

Encinitas
The community of Olivenhain holds a bike parade and potluck from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4.
Events will be held at Olivenhain Meeting Hall, 423 Rancho Santa Fe Road in Encinitas. The bike parade will gather at the east side of the Meeting Hall grounds and will move along Cole Ranch Road. A potluck picnic will take place afterward at the Meeting Hall.
Participants are asked to RSVP to the Olivenhain Town Council at events@olivenhain.org. Those interested in volunteering can email council President President Mark Mayer at president@olivenhain.org.

Del Mar
The San Diego County Fair hosts its annual Independence Day fireworks at 9 p.m. July 4.
Admission comes with a fair ticket purchase on July 4 with reserved seating in the grandstand. Doors for the show open 90 minutes ahead of time.
Ticket costs range from $20 to $25.

Vista
The city of Vista offers a fireworks show July 4 at Brengle Terrace Park and Moonlight Amphitheatre.
The park, located at 1200 Vale Terrace Drive, opens at 7 a.m., and the amphitheater opens at 5 p.m. The DecaDames perform at 7:35 p.m. on the Moonlight Stage and after the fireworks, which are at 9 p.m.

San Marcos
The city of San Marcos holds its annual Red, White and Boom! celebration July 4 at Bradley Park.
Doors open at 6 p.m.; fireworks are at 9 p.m. The park is located at 1587 Linda Vista Drive.
This year’s event includes a carnival and food sales. Participants are asked to bring beach chairs and blankets for lawn seating.

Escondido
The city of Escondido’s free Independence Day celebration takes place July 4.
Events take place from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Grape Day Park, 321 N. Broadway, and California Center for the Arts, 340 N. Escondido Blvd. Food trucks will be on hand as will live music.
Admission is free, although VIP tickets can be purchased for $65, which offer additional amenities.

Fallbrook
The Rotary Club of Fallbrook holds its second annual Independence Day Pancake Breakfast on from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. on July 4 at the Fallbrook Community Center.
A color guard ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. Other events include face painting and a dog show, both starting after 9:30 a.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12; children 3 and under are free. Proceeds benefit the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Camp Pendleton.
The Fallbrook Community Center is located at 341 Heald Lane in Fallbrook.
