The Encinitas Rotary Club Foundation invites the community to the 39th Annual Rotary Creates Magic Fundraiser on March 8 at the Carlsbad Community Cultural Arts Center featuring event founder host, magician Paul Dwork.
Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Encinitas Rotary Club Foundation, an organization that funds charitable initiatives and community service projects. The event has raised more than $1 million for various charities.
Dwork has been entertaining audiences for decades with his “Magic of Merlin,” blending mystery and storytelling into a captivating performance. He will be joined by:
David Kovac, “The Funniest Magician You’ll Ever See,” whose vaudeville-style magic and comedic timing make him a crowd favorite.
Ron Saylor, “A Magician That Leaves an Audience of Skeptics in ‘Awe’,” known for his sleight-of-hand and audience participation.
Jonathan Molo, “The Magician in a Purple Suit,” who brings an energetic presence to the stage, wowing audiences with his signature style.
Ice McDonald, “Excellence in Magic with No Exceptions,” who rounds out the lineup with breathtaking illusions.
The magicians have performed on international stages and appeared on television shows such as “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” and “Masters of Illusion.” All are also members of Hollywood’s Magic Castle, the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians.
The Carlsbad Community Cultural Arts Center is located on the Carlsbad High School campus, 3557 Lancer Way. The show begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased at magicmagicmagic.com/rotary-magic.
