Encinitas CA— – Encinitas Express Soccer is excited and proud to share that they have been chosen by US Club Soccer as a Players First Club. This designation reflects and reinforces Express’s commitment to the community and its players, coaches and families. The program is anchored by five pillars: Club Development, Coaching Development, Player Development, Parent Engagement and Education, and Player Health and Safety.
Andy Hargreaves, Director of Older Teams at Express, who led the application effort, feels that participating in the program is a way of showing families how much the Club values them. “We would like parents to know that we value their commitment and loyalty to our club and their child’s experience. We feel this program offers them the values to stay connected with what soccer is providing their kids, while helping them stay safe and educated on the important aspects of the soccer experience.” Express’s VP of Competitive, Brad Silcox, adds “We are proud that Encinitas Express was recognized as the first club in San Diego to have official licensing as a Players First organization. It is a statement to our players, families, coaches and community that our core values are based on a holistic and complete approach to the development of the player.”
To receive this designation, Express passed a rigorous evaluation process and is the first club in San Diego County to receive this honor.
