San Diego CA— San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl officials have announce that locally-based Dexcom, Inc. has joined as the local community partner of the October 27 Navy-Notre Dame game at SDCCU Stadium.
The non-profit local bowl game effort is the host of the event and the group responsible for bringing the game to San Diego.
Dexcom’s partnership enabled the Holiday Bowl to enhance its marketing efforts to ensure the largest crowd possible for this high-profile college football game. Navy v. Notre Dame is the longest continuously running intersectional rivalry series in college football. The Oct. 27 game will mark the 91st consecutive year these two teams have met on the gridiron. It’s the first time that the matchup will have ever been played west of the eastern time zone. Notre Dame has never played a football game in San Diego.
“We’re so grateful to Dexcom for stepping up to support our non-profit’s effort to make this historic game a great success in San Diego,” said Holiday Bowl CEO, Mark Neville. “This is an important event for San Diego as the game is bringing thousands of out-of-town visitors to our great city, and millions more will watch the CBS national broadcast. Dexcom is really giving us the necessary boost to send this game over the top for our region.”
Founded in 1999, San Diego-based Dexcom, Inc. is transforming diabetes care and management by providing superior continuous glucose monitoring technology to help patients and healthcare professionals better manage diabetes.
Less than 2,000 tickets remain for the game. Fans are encouraged to visit www.TicketMaster.com.
