Oceanside CA— In the first game of a girls/boys doubleheader, held at Oceanside High School, 15 points by Katerina Sciacca and Leihua Matila and 10 by Evelyn Terraza paced the Lady Panthers of Vista High School (10-15) to a 57-31 win over the Lady Pirates of Oceanside High. The win broke a 6 game losing streak for the Lady Panthers.
The Lady Pirates(3-20) were led by Zaria Brown with 14 and Jaden Pao Pao with 12. The Lady Pirates hope to end a 5 game losing streak when the take on the Mission Hills Grizzlies, Friday, February 10th. The Vista Lady Panthers will take on the Lady Knights of San Marcos at 5:30 pm.
In the Men’s game, the Vista Panthers improve their record to 22-3 and currently ride a 6 game win streak as they defeated Oceanside(13-7) 74-34.
Anthony Anderson led the Panthers with 16 points, 13 by Taurus Samuels chipped in with 13 and 10 by Jordan Hilstock.
For the Pirates, Emmanuel Grandison led with 9 points.
