Oceanside CA— It was a perfect morning for runners at the 10th Annual Pacific Marine Credit Union, O’side Turkey Trot with the temperature, at the start of the 10k race, in the mid 50’s.
Nick Kramer moved to Oceanside three months ago and ran away with the 10k title, setting the bar high for the course record along the way with a time of 32:51. This was the first 10k held at the event. Nic Caruso, a liberty High School student from Peoria, Arizona was second, a minute behind with a time of 33:51. Lenore Moreno, of West Covina who happens to be Nick Kramer’s girlfriend, won the women’s 10k with a time of 34:51, three and a half minutes ahead of second place runner, Christine Taranto.
Tom Kloos, a four-time winner of the PMCU, O’side Turkey Trot, took the 5k title with a time of 15:10, that’s 4:53 per mile. Lindsay Drake of Carlsbad was the first female across the line, 24th overall, in the 5k with a time of 17:19.
