San Diego County CA— The harvest has begun! The ingredients on the fabulous menu compiled by Chef Jeff Rossman are being harvested from local farms for a dinner that will satiate San Diego’s craving for local food. Sunday, September 20th at Stehly Farms Organics in Valley Center the public and farmers will come together to enjoy a gourmet multicourse meal made of locally sourced fruits, vegetables, proteins and drinks!.
It will be an afternoon spent over delectable food and drink while meeting the people who work so hard to make local options a reality. Farmers of the area will be in attendance equipped with generations of agriculture stories, their personal drought solutions, takes on the latest technologies, and an overall picture of what it is like to be a grower in San Diego County today.
Chef Jeff Rossman, of Terra American Bistro, has been a pioneer in the Farm to Table movement since its beginnings in the area, and was the first ever Farm Bureau San Diego Grown 365 Award winner in 2011.
