Three coastal North San Diego County chambers of commerce have partnered for a county District 3 supervisor debate between incumbent Terra Lawson-Remer and former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer on Monday, Sept. 16.
Coast News reporter Claire Strong will moderate the debate, which runs 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Windmill Banquet in Carlsbad, 850-890 Palomar Airport Road. The event is sponsored by the chambers of commerce of Encinitas, Carlsbad and Solana Beach.
San Diego County District 3 covers Carlsbad south to Point Loma east to Rancho Peñasquitos.
“This event is a fantastic chance to hear directly from the candidates about their platforms, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of their vision for District 3,” Encinitas Chamber of Commerce CEO Sherry Yardley said in a news release. “Public participation is crucial in making an informed decision in the upcoming election.”
Lawson-Remer is an Encinitas resident. Faulconer served as San Diego mayor from 2014 to 2020.
