Cardiff 101 Main Street, in collaboration with the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Town Council Committee, announces its upcoming Encinitas Mayoral Election Forum at the Ada Harris School Auditorium in Cardiff on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The school located at 1508 Windsor Road.
The forum provides an opportunity for Encinitas residents to engage directly with the candidates for the position of Encinitas mayor: Bruce Ehlers and Tony Kranz. Each candidate will have the chance to respond to questions submitted by the community, offering insights into their policies and vision for the future of Encinitas.
Residents are encouraged to submit their questions in advance. The Cardiff Town Council seeks to inform resident voters of candidate views on local matters. The public is encouraged to submit their questions for the candidates to encmayorquestions@gmail.com between Sept. 3 and 15. The public’s questions will be reviewed and compiled by the Cardiff Town Council Committee and the moderator one day prior to the forum. No questions will be accepted after the deadline or on the day of the event.
The forum will be moderated by local journalist Stephen Wyer, known for his work on the Stay Classy Podcast. Wyer has reported on local politics, crime, and enterprise for The Coast News, North Coast Current, The Union in Sacramento, CBS Los Angeles and several Los Angeles Area newspapers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from UCLA.
