EcoFest returns to Encinitas 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Fox Point Farms, 1150 Quail Gardens Drive.
Billed as the the longest-running environmental fair in North San Diego County, EcoFest showcases the many ways to “go green” while having fun, featuring local green businesses, nonprofit groups and government agencies. Participants can learn ways to reduce their home’s carbon footprint, see the latest in alternative-fuel cars, test ride e-bikes and learn how they can save money with public incentives. Children can take part in a bicycle rodeo and family-centered activities. Local food, libations and music will also be available.
Fox Point Farms is a Shea Home development that is slated to include an organic farm operation, farm stand and event space. Go to ecofestencinitas.org for more information about Sunday’ event.
