ENCINITAS — The Solana Center for Environmental Innovation hosts its first textile waste educational event, Taking on Textile Waste, on March 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Taking on Textile Waste is a family friendly event to bring awareness to the community about the environmental impact of consumption and disposal of clothing, fabric, and textiles. The event will have information addressing the urgent need to move towards more sustainable models in the fashion and retail industries. Several activities will be offered, in addition to a special presentation from staff members of Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner’s office.
