ENCINITAS: City announces settlement in apartments lawsuit

The city of Encinitas has reached a settlement of the Encinitas Blvd. Apartments 6.95 LP v. City of Encinitas case, it was announced April 25.

City Notes logo.The project applicant has agreed to submit an amended application for a smaller project, which reduces the total number of units from 272 to 250, increases the total number of affordable units from 41 to 50, and removes one story on the portions of the project closest to existing residents.

The amended project will be presented at the City Council meeting on June 8 for council review and decision. If the amended project is approved, the case will be dismissed.
