ENCINITAS — Members of the nonprofit San Diego County Gourd Artists present a gourd art show in the lighted case in the Encinitas Civic Center from June 16 to Aug. 1. The show’s title, “Ancient Vessels,” notes the history of the gourd. All pieces are available to purchase. The Civic Center Gallery is located in the lobby of Encinitas City Hall, 505 South Vulcan Ave. in Encinitas. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. City Hall is closed on alternate Fridays, however. Participating members are President Sherry Hunga-Moore, Vice President Stacy Day, Secretary Libbi Salvo, Peggy Blessing (newsletter production), Grace Swanson (publicity), Andi Hartgrove, Donna Rositani, and Carolyn Medlin.
