Incumbents lead in San Dieguito school board race
Newcomer, appointed incumbent lead in Encinitas elementary district contest

Incumbents Beth Hergesheimer and Joyce Dalessandro led Tuesday’s vote for two seats on the San Dieguito Union High School District board, according to county election results as of 11:50 Tuesday night.
Rimga Viskanta and Patricia S. Sinay led the vote for two board seats in the Encinitas Union School District.
With 41.9 percent of precincts counted, Hergesheimer and Dalessandro led San Dieguito in a field of five for two seats by 33.21 percent and 32.10 percent respectively. Candidates Lucille Hooton Lynch, Randy Berholtz and Bob Nascenzi were at 13.62 percent, 13.27 percent and 7.80 percent respectively, according to the preliminary results.
With 31.9 percent of precincts counted, Viskanta and Sinay led Encinitas Union in a field of four for two seats by 27.48 percent and 27.34 percent respectively. Candidates Leslie Schneider and Anne-Katherine Pingree were at 22.94 percent and 22.24 percent respectively, according to the preliminary results.
