Encinitas Traffic and Public Safety Commission member Catherine Blakespear recently announced her plans to run for City Council.

“As a fourth generation Encinitas resident with a young family, I believe in both the preservation and enhancement of our city’s assets,” she said in a website announcement April 3. “I am committed to protecting the quality of our city, while shaping innovative change to enhance our future.”
