ENCINITAS — Longtime local flower industry member Evelyn Weidner will serve as grand marshal for the Encinitas Holiday Parade, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. in downtown Encinitas. The annual event begins with a tree-lighting ceremony, followed by the parade. This year’s theme is “Growing Holiday Cheer,” celebrating Encinitas’ agricultural history, from flowers to fruit trees.
