Twenty years ago, I decided to invest millions of dollars in Oceanside. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Oceanside was rising to become a jewel of a seaside town. But no.

Since I made my investment, the woke City Council has focused solely on homeless outreach rather than crime prevention, creating a situation where you are free to commit theft and vandalism if you claim to be homeless. We have had our office building broken into 20 times in the last several years with no action by the city. Most recently, one of these “gentlemen” dismantled the air conditioning units on our roof at a cost of $1,000s.

With no law enforcement, there are no laws. Really wish I had invested in Vista instead.
