When people dig into the history of 2025 a hundred years from now, what will they find? Possibly — maybe even likely — little to nothing. For me, the timing of this question is notable as a state effort to preserve California’s newspaper heritage comes to Encinitas to preserve the archives of the Coast Dispatch.

During the morning devotional Jan. 13, Noemi Bravo told the story of Moses climbing Mt. Sinai, then pivoted to the Coast to Crest Trail Challenge. “These six individuals really climbed the mountain,” Bravo said of six recent finishers from San Diego Rescue Mission.

Shelter to Soldier raises nearly $300K at annual Be the Light Gala
