Continuing a tradition of holiday generosity, an anonymous donor for the sixth year in a row purchased thousands of toys from Geppetto’s at The Forum Carlsbad to be donated to Toys for Tots last month.
In a show of support, both Geppetto’s and Northwood Retail also donated toys to be added to the $100,000 gift. Toys for Tots, run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, aims to bring joy to underserved children by distributing new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season.
Members of the U.S. Marine Corps joined the anonymous donor at Geppetto’s on the morning of Nov. 7 to personally select and box toys for collection.
“We are deeply grateful to partner with this incredible anonymous donor, whose unwavering generosity has provided thousands of gifts to children in need over the last five years,” said Brian Miller, owner of Geppetto’s. “His selflessness is a testament to the true spirit of the holidays, and his contributions—amounting to over $200,000 just in the last two years—have made a significant impact on the Toys for Tots program.”
