Oceanside CA– This morning, August 15 at 10:39 a.m. the Oceanside Police Dispatch center received phone calls regarding a serious traffic collision on Emerald Drive at Lake Boulevard.
Officers arrived and determined the following:
A white Toyota Tundra was driving north on Emerald Drive between Lake Boulevard and Sunset Drive at a high rate of speed. A Chrysler was driving southbound on Emerald when the Toyota began to turn left onto Jade Lane. The Toyota collided with the Chrysler causing major damage to both vehicles.
The driver in the Chrysler sustained lacerations on his arms and possibly more serious injuries. He was flown to Scripps La Jolla. The driver of the Toyota has undetermined injuries at this time. He was not able to give a statement at the scene. He was taken by ambulance to Scripps La Jolla.
