DISC Surgery Center is launching a location in Carlsbad, its parent company announced March 25.
The 12,000-square-foot facility provides outpatient spine surgery, orthopedics and pain management and features three operating suites with surgical and motion preservation technology, according to a company news release. The center is adjacent to DISC’s full-service clinic.
“We are excited to bring our newest DISC ASC into Carlsbad, marking our most ambitious and technologically enhanced build yet,” founding director Dr. Robert S. Bray Jr. said in the announcement. “This facility is the culmination of our nearly 20 years of perfecting outpatient spine and orthopedic surgery, from infrastructure, technology and tools to protocols, patient care and recovery, all in a pristine and comfortable setting optimized to deliver the best results for our patients.”
DISC is part of Newport Beach-based medical management firm TriasMD, which has been expanding its holdings elsewhere in California over the past few years. In announcing the new Carlsbad location, TriasMD cited statistics from medical data firm Sg2 Analytics stating that 88% of spinal decompressions and laminectomies (spinal bone surgeries) and 67% of cervical spinal fusions will be done in such outpatient settings by 2028.
DISC Surgery Center at Carlsbad is located 6250 El Camino Real, Suite 101.
