OCEANSIDE — The Oceanside Museum of Art offers events in February highlighting the institution’s collected works and the completion of a new work by artist Robert Xavier Burden.
Join the museum on Feb. 8 for the opening of “Stories That Connect Us: Selections from the OMA Collection,” an exhibition showcasing a sampling of works from 35 artists, ranging in style from portraiture to abstraction, that highlight the diverse genres of art OMA has presented over the past 28 years. The exhibition explores narratives surrounding the development of the museum’s exhibitions and the relationships they have formed with artists and collectors.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a unique date-night at the Oceanside Museum of Art on Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.
The museum invites residents to meet noted artist Robert Xavier Burden for during a celebration of a newly completed painting. Connect with the artist and other local creatives through this free event with the purchase of museum admission.
