Oceanside police are investigating the death of a shooting victim who was found early Jan. 12.

Officers found the 34-year-old man, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, at the intersection of College Boulevard and Olive Drive at 2:05 a.m., according to an Oceanside Police Department report. The man had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
