Students at Discovery Isle Preschool in Oceanside recently donated more than $200 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national childhood cancer foundation dedicated to funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering people to help cure childhood cancer.
To raise money for the organization, campers sold lemonade to their fellow campers, families, staff members and teachers.
Discovery Isle Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond.
