The city of Encinitas seeks applicants to fill vacancies on two of its commissions, with an extended deadline of Thursday, March 14.
Applications had been sought to fill 21 vacancies on various committees back in January. Spots are currently open on the planning and senior citizen panels, according to a March 8 city announcement. Once selected, terms will begin upon appointment.
Commissions provide officials and the City Council with guidance on key issues affecting the city.
On the Planning Commission, a spot is open for a representative of Old Encinitas. The Senior Citizen Commission has two seats open.
