Home Start, a local nonprofit committed to helping San Diego’s most underserved and vulnerable, is bringing cheer to local families in need during the holiday season by partnering with One Paseo for its annual holiday toy drive, running now until Dec. 13 at One Paseo, 3725 Paseo Place in Carmel Valley.
Community members can drop off new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Wrapping supplies are also being accepted as an addition to donations. The donation bin will be placed next to One Paseo’s red vintage Winter Studebaker Truck, next to the fire pit. Donations can be made from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Once the toy drive wraps up, One Paseo’s trolley will transform into a gifting sleigh. Decked out with festive decor and filled with gifts collected from the community, Santa and team will drive the trolley down to Home Start’s Mission Valley headquarters parking lot. The toys will go to local families Home Start has worked with throughout the year to provide services including housing, parenting education and therapy.
“We are most grateful for One Paseo’s generous support and continued partnership,” Home Start CEO Laura Tancredi-Baese said. “Together, One Paseo, its patrons, and team Home Start will help bring smiles to hundreds of deserving local children and parents this holiday season.”
