SAN MARCOS — North County San Diego’s first ever community production of “The Phantom of the Opera” now through Aug. 13 at the Howard Brubeck Theatre on the Palomar College campus in San Marcos. The production, by Encinitas-based Ovation Theatre, features a cast of performers from across San Diego for a six-show run.
Based on the 1910 horror novel by Gaston Leroux, Broadway’s “The Phantom of the Opera” is a thrilling and romantic account of the legendary Phantom, a musical genius who dwells deep beneath a majestic opera house in Paris.
