CARLSBAD — The city’s TGIF Concerts in the Parks series is back in person this summer and celebrating its 36th anniversary. The concerts run weekly from July 7 to Aug. 11 at Carlsbad’s city parks. In addition to the concerts, visitors can enjoy the Pop Up Art booth to create their own art pieces or visit with the Carlsbad Library team to learn more about the new services of Kanopy and Hoopla, as well as its long-running summer reading program. The season kicks off July 7 with the soft rock sounds of the Point Loma-based band Overboard at Stagecoach Community Park.
