This unique exhibition showcases more than 50 sculptures from over 30 talented local artists set against the beautiful backdrop of the San Diego Botanic Garden. This unique joint exhibit between the Jerusalem Botanic Garden and San Diego Botanic Garden showcases the top photos taken by garden enthusiasts that put ‘Plants In Focus.’ The top three finalists from three different age groups (under 10 years, 10 – 18 years & 18 years old and above) are now on display at San Diego Botanic Garden. Saturday, September 10, 4:30 – 9 pm. San Diego Botanic Garden. 230 Quail Gardens Drive. $200 per person. Gala in the Garden: Grow With Passion. The San Diego Botanic Garden’s annual fund-raiser honoring Nan Sterman, host of “A Growing Passion” on KPBS. Guests have the opportunity to explore the Garden’s trails, enjoy fine wine, craft beer and the best dishes from local restaurants. Cornucopia: A Botanical Art Exhibit of Edible Plants by members of the Botanical Art Guild of Southern California. Thirty-nine pieces of art from 18 different artists from the Southern California Botanical Art Guild celebrate the diversity of plant life that humans use for food, beverages and to enhance the flavor of their favorite cuisine. During this 2-day class, create a beautiful mosaic using ocean rocks and glass beads.
