Oceanside CA—  Late last night, June 16,2016 at approximately 11:18 pm a 21-year-old male from Vista was driving his 1999 Honda Prelude eastbound on SR-78 just west of El Camino Real.
According to a witness the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision, lost control and went down the right shoulder embankment.
The driver was pronounced dead on scene. There were no other vehicles involved. At this time it is unknown if the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The collision remains under investigation.
