Tails on the Trails
The Tri-City Hospital Foundation, Tri-City Hospital Auxiliary held their third annual ‘Tails on the Trails fundraiser at Mance Buchanon Municipal Park in Oceanside. Attendees were invited to hit the trail at leisure, hang out to browse vendor and pet education booths, fly-ball demonstrations, watch K-9 demonstrations from the Oceanside Police Department, enjoy music, food trucks and even adopt a new fluffy family member.
Wild West Fest
The City of Carlsbad’s annual Wild West Fest took place at the Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park, located, 6200 Flying L.C. Lane. The event included western themed activities, salsa contest, root beer tastings, pony rides and mechanical bull riding for kids.
The park was once a working rancho owned by actor, philanthropist, poet and preservationist Leo Carrillo and is a designated California Historical Landmark.
Operation Appreciation
The 15th Annual Oceanside Operation Appreciation event, which occurs annually on Armed Forces Day, brings the business community and area residents together to provide a day of recognition to all active-duty military stationed on Marine Corps Base Camp Joseph H. Pendleton and nearby military bases. Thousands of active duty military and their dependents are treated to a day of free food, a children’s fun zone and entertainment at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre.
