Fallbrook CA— On January 22nd, 2016 Hugh Pettigrew, 33, was attacked and stabbed multiple times as he walked home along the 400 block of Ammunition Road. [See original story here] On February 9th, 2016 Pettigrew passed away from the injuries he sustained in that attack. In the time since the attack, detectives and personnel from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail and Fallbrook Sub-Station have worked countless hours following up on all available leads.
Today three individuals have been arrested and charged with the murder of Hugh Pettigrew. These individuals are; Kevin Garcia, 21, Tyler Dean, 25 and Ryan Valdez, 18.
Garcia and Dean have been in custody on unrelated charges since February and were re-booked. Valdez was arrested today in Fallbrook without incident and was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
All three suspects are documented gang members and have been charged with following crimes; 187(a) PC, murder, 186.22 PC, criminal gang activity and 422.75 PC, hate crime.
There are no outstanding suspects in the case.
